From Chaos to Calm
Join us for an Embodied Retreat… a time to press the pause button and find a deeper sense of stillness and trust.
We invite you on a journey of self-discovery. Self-Care has become a buzz-word and yet we want to give you techniques and tools that you can take back home with you – to help you press re-set every day – or even find the space to navigate each day a little differently – with renewed clarity. It’s great to feel healthy space when you are on retreat – but we want you to take that home with you and integrate – find space in your everyday life.
The key to this innerwork is understanding our emotional anatomy – it is an invitation to understand how our bodies are impacted by stress and anxiety and to learn simple techniques through yoga, breathwork and nervous system balancing practices to effect conscious change.
Understanding our emotional anatomy is seeing how our body sculpts itself through its common emotions. We see how both our bodies and minds sculpt themselves around our emotional habits, anxieties and moods and how this often leads to being stuck either in a mental or stressed rut leading to burn-out or in a postural rut.
We will share techniques that help us navigate our lives with better awareness of a healthy nervous system and vagus nerve; the interplay of our hormones and ways to create better hormonal balance; and conscious practices to help us ultimately see ourselves clearly by seeing beyond our judgmental nature or limited beliefs.
A retreat with us is an opportunity to rest and digest.
There will be daily yoga and meditation, there will be lots of restorative practices, hands-on techniques and yoga nidra – but also short interactive lectur- based classes where we will look at the nervous system and learn techniques to quickly improve our state of mind and our state of being. As Viriam is an Ayurveda and Yoga Wellness Consultant – there will be advice on maintaining healthy balance through ayurveda. And, as Adam is a bodywork practitioner there will be opportunities for individual postural assessment and massage sessions.
