Actually Fascia is the Doorway… Movement is the Key…
From head to toe, we inhabit a continuous web of connective tissue known as fascia—a living matrix that links muscles, bones, nerves, organs, movement, and sensation into one interconnected whole.
In Fascia Dynamics we explore functional 3D movement matrixes, self-myofascial release using tennis balls, structural awareness, and nervous system balancing practices. Together, these approaches help reconnect us to the body’s remarkable capacity to adapt, recover, and thrive.
Expect movement, anatomy, insight, and practical experience—and a new appreciation for the remarkable interconnectedness of the human body.
So we’ll ask the questions – When we’re lifting weights, What are we really strengthening? Whether we’re moving through a Vinyasa flow or surrendering to long holds in yin yoga, what is actually lengthening and adapting? How are we reshaping our body? We have to start thinking beyond muscle – this workshop explores these questions through the lens of fascia, movement, and nervous system science.
You’ll leave with simple self-myofascial release techniques, novel movement explorations, and practical tools to support mobility, recovery, body awareness, and wellbeing.
Beyond Muscle Memory…
“Fascia Remebers what the Mind Forgets” Robert Shleip
“Fascia” has become something of a buzzword, and for good reason. This continuous matrix of soft tissue throughout your body supports, connects, and binds everything together. It interfaces with every other bodily system. The story of how you feel—emotionally and physically—is etched into your fascia.
Did you know your fascia is your richest sensory organ? While the skin has about 100 million sensory nerve endings, your fascia has over 250 million. These receptors are sensitive to stretch, tension, vibration, angle changes, and both pain and pleasure. But beyond that, fascia is interoceptive—it helps you feel your inner world. That sense of “how you are” on the inside—your internal space, your gut feeling, your emotional state—is deeply embedded in your fascial matrix.
According to fascial researcher Dr. Robert Schleip, your fascial system is primarily sympathetic—designed to prepare you for fight-or-flight responses. Fascia acts like a living antenna, constantly tuning into your internal state: Are you cold? Overheated? Tense? Afraid?
If you can learn to listen to these signals, you can respond rather than react. You create space to ground yourself and move from overwhelm to presence.
When we learn about fascia – we learn about our whole body. You may even discover that improving your hamstrings isn’t always about stretching your hamstrings—sometimes the answer begins with your feet.
Whether you’re a yoga practitioner, fitness enthusiast, therapist, movement teacher, or simply curious about understanding your body more deeply, this workshop offers a fresh perspective on how movement shapes us from the inside out.
More than just a workshop, this 4-hour experience serves as a gateway into the Fascia Dynamics Facilitator Diploma—an opportunity to explore the foundations of fascia, movement, and nervous system science while experiencing the approach firsthand.
