Take Me Home is an invitation… to come home to ourselves… to come back to ourselves… to allow love to take root. And, when we feel at home within ourselves – we can reach out to others… Inspired by the Rumi poem – Whoever Brought Me Here – one full moon, Adam and Viriam started to sing under the stars, playing a few chords, repeating this phrase, allowing the words to spiral and loop and make their own melody. In a way, it’s a love song… a song of devotion…
Take Me Beyond is a collection of remixes that take our chords and voices and create meditative spaces, moments to pause and reflect – the melodies have taken flight, evolved into new creations slightly tethered to the original…
For us, meditation is about coming home to ourselves – Take Me Beyond is an invitation to find that meditative space within ourselves.
We could not wait for the next Full Moon to release this… we have talked about this music for so long, it’s ready to be heard…
We’ve read the poem and sung our hearts out in times of love and loss.. there is devotion in here, a little grief, respect and deep trust.
Adam and I are lucky that there are always musicians in our lives – with Take Me Home, we invited a few friends to listen and coax out meditative moments that can help us all exhale deeply, feel connected and come home to ourselves… They have seen this music and us through a different lens to how we see ourselves…
