Description

We invite you for a unique course fusing  Marma Therapy and Emotional Freedom Technique.

Adam is excited to welcome back his Marma Therapy teachers who will facilitate this 2 day workshop – Dr Antriksh Adyant – Professor and Licensed acupuncture and Marma Therapy Practitioner  and Dr Ambika Warrier –  Marma Therapy Teacher & Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist who will share insights and practices from the world of EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique.

Marma Therapy is essentially Ayurvedic Acupressure. You will learn a Marma self-care sequence to help calm the mind and heal the body.  This ancient practice works with vital energy centres within the pranic body.   The map of the body has 108 acupressure points – Antriksh will focus on  pressure points to help prevent and deal with  emotional disorders such as anxiety and depression as well as introducing points that can  help us deal with physical pain. The techniques are powerful and transformative  –  they can offer an in-the-moment “fix” but like anything the effects become more profound over time. Antriksh will guide us through a marma therapy self care routine which can be practiced at any time of the day – it can be energising at the start of the day and yet also be used as a way of grounding and calming the nervous system before bed. You can also use certain points to enhance your meditation practice.

A regular conscious Marma Therapy practice can help:

  • Reduce stress and allow for relaxation
  • Harmonise the chakras and improve energy flow
  • Enhance Immunity, digestion and circulation
  • Mental Clarity and Emotional Balance. …
  • Balance the doshas (Ayurveda)
  • Enhance your Meditation practice
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) uses tapping of specific points to create a deeper mind-body understanding – a deeper conversation. Essentially, it involves stimulating acupuncture points through tapping to manage emotions – giving a sense of  integration.  Based on 12 meridian points, Ambika will guide us to  lightly tap on specific points on our face and body while focusing on a negative emotion or stressful situation that we are invited to release. The goal is to reduce the mental and emotional intensity and impact creating a reset and a deeper understanding of our habitual stress responses or triggers.
Tapping can help with anxiety and depression, PTSD, phobias and symptoms of pain caused by  tension headaches, frozen shoulder, fibromyalgia, and other chronic pain conditions.
Tapping on specific pressure points while reframing what’s concerning us might:
  •  Lower heart rate and blood pressure
  • Reduce levels of stress hormones like cortisol
  • Lessen the intensity of your emotional distress and habitual stress responses
  • Help us feel happier, grounded and balanced
Join us for this unique fusion of the ancient practice of Marma Therapy and the modern techniques and  understanding of Emotional Freedom Technique. It is a great compliment to our yogic practice and offers simple practical ways to reduce stress and regulate the nervous system. The deeper invitation of both Marma Therapy and EFT is a deeper emotional and spiritual harmony.
